Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Kuala Lumpur is centrally located at the city of Kuala Lumpur and is the main exhibition center in Kuala Lumpur that hosts many local and international events and exhibitions. It was built in 1981 and was completed in 1984 and was officiated by the Malaysia Prime Minister at that time, Tun Dr Mahathir Muhammad.

Overview

A large and prestigious exhibition center that holds a variety of events such as local, regional and international exhibition, wedding and travel expos, trade shows and concert, even official international meetings. It is known for its comprehensive facilities and large space of more than 250,000 square feet for the main exhibition halls, with many smaller halls for various occasions. Among the many prestigious events held here was the Commonwealths Heads of Government Meeting back in 1989 and recently the Bruno Mars concert in 2011.

There are many more events coming up for the year 2012, amongst are the Malaysia Technology Expo in Feb, Malaysia Furniture Fair in March, Robotics Asia in July and much more. If you are happen in town, do not miss the opportunity to catch on these events. Another important point to note is that the Putra Bus Terminal is just located directly across the PWTC. You can get express buses to outstation mainly to the east coast such as Terengganu, Kelantan and Kuantan, it also provides frequent bus services. The Putra LRT station is also RapidKl hub for local shuttle.

Transport

Getting to PWTC is very convenient as there are railway stations nearby, which is the PWTC LRT station on the Ampang Line, and the Putra Komuter station. Otherwise, RapidKL bus terminal is also just around the corner.
